Welding Basics - GTAW/TIG Welding
Learn Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG Welding) and earn AWS GTAW qualifications for up to two positions. This course provides a hands-on training in practical operations and equipment used in tungsten inert gas welding.
Includes safety training with OSHA 10-Hour card, all instructional materials, and American Welding Society (AWS) qualification testing.
Trainee Requirement Details
Coursework provides up to 75 hours of training, including both lecture and hands-on skills/labs. All participants are required to attend safety training and are responsible to bring their own appropriate non-synthetic apparel, leather boots, safety glasses and personal hand tools as outlined by the instructor at the beginning of class. Synthetic apparel, shorts, and open-toed shoes, sandals, or flip flops are not permitted. #10 shade welding shield, jacket, and gloves are available for use, but students may bring their own, if desired.
GTAW applicants must have completed or be co enrolled in at least one other welding process, such as SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW.
