A non-traditional health and wellness course, "Aromatherapy 101," is being offered this spring on the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Clifton Forge campus with herbalist and aromatherapist Chin Velasquez as the instructor.
“Aromatherapy 101" will meet on Wednesdays, April 24 through May 15, from 6 to 7:30 pm in Scott Hall. This four-week non-credit course will introduce the use of essential oils for self and family care and the cultivation of a holistic lifestyle. This class will provide participants with basic guidelines and an understanding of essential oils, basic methods of administration, therapeutic actions and how they can assist in healing body, mind, and spirit. During the fourth session, students will learn how to create an herbal spa facial. The tuition is $200; a $35 materials fee will be collected on the first night of class.
