The Division of Workforce Solutions and Community Education (WSCE) recognizes that not everyone who seeks additional training or education is interested in obtaining a diploma or degree. To that end, Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) offers a wide variety of special interest and non-credit courses that are designed for personal enrichment, learning a new skill or just plain fun.
Classes are typically held either on the main campus in Clifton Forge; the Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista; and in Botetourt County in three locations: the Greenfield Education and Training Center in Daleville, the Botetourt Technical Education Center in Fincastle, and the Eagle Rock Library. In Bath County: Bath County High School.
Some of our special interest and non-credit courses may include:
- Motorcycle Rider Safety Courses
- Commercial Driver’s License Program
- Photography
- Master gardening
- Fine arts appreciation
- Web design
