MGCC Strategic Plan

Having served our community for 60 years, Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) has a rich history of providing opportunities for tens of thousands of individuals to meet their educational and career goals. Our community college is the place where individuals – of all ages – who never dreamed of a college education are finding themselves on the path to the American Dream.

This strategic plan, A Gateway to a New Era of Success: A Strategic Plan for Mountain Gateway Community College 2022-2028, continues our commitment to student success, workforce and community development, and employee success. In addition, MGCC reaffirms our commitment and dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion. College, and especially MGCC, is for all and not just the few.

We are privileged to have had the contributions of so many people who truly care—from community leaders to employers to benefactors to governmental representatives and volunteers from the community at large. The impact of that level of interest and support may be seen and felt daily by our faculty, staff and students, and the large number of people who are excited and who approach the building of a great community college with a passion. These individuals are why MGCC has been successful for sixty years.

We invite the MGCC Community and the community at large to embrace A Gateway to a New Era of Success and help us in my goal of providing meaningful and productive learning that will lead to successful transfer opportunities as well as meeting the business and industry needs of the region and the state.
