The second-year nursing students at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College hosted the second annual “Camp Nightingale”, a one-day orientation for incoming nursing students held the Friday before classes began on the Clifton Forge campus. The new students received helpful information about good study habits, what to expect in the classroom, and a tour of campus, among other things.Instructor Laura Meadows (top photo) explains how to develop a professional nursing portfolio and its use as a tool for future employment, while (bottom photo) 2nd-year students (from left, Jasmine Neal, Emily Edwards, Allison Bridges and Susan Keith) deliver some helpful advice.
