Dabney S. Lancaster Community College is partnering with the Virginia Community College Schools (VCCS) Hunger Project to help raise money for the campus food bank by accepting customer donations at the register in the DSLCC bookstore. Follett Higher Education Group, which operates the bookstore, located in the Highlands Community Bank Suite in the Moomaw Center on the DSLCC Clifton Forge campus, will match donations up to $1,000.
DSLCC joins 18 other VCCS campus stores accepting donations in-store, where Follett will match donations dollar for dollar, up to $19,000 and $1,000 per institution.
Normal semester operating hours for the bookstore are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Fall hours begin August 21. For more information, contact Store Manager Jana Evans at (540) 862-7320.
The DSLCC Roadrunner Cubby Closet, which opens each weekday at 8 am and is located in room 645 in the Armory on the Clifton Forge campus, offers non-perishable food items as well as clothing and paper products, among other items. It is open to DSLCC students as well as the community.
