Garten Trucking, LC has donated a 2007 Columbia Freightliner to the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Program, which will be used as training equipment for students in the program. With the increased demand for drivers and subsequent growth of the DSLCC CDL program, the tractor will help enable the College to credential more students and, ultimately, help drive economic growth. The gift is part of Imagine, Invest, Inspire – The Campaign for DSLCC, which the College and the DSLCC Educational Foundation launched in September 2015 with a goal of $3.5 million. The Campaign is slated to end on June 30, 2016.
For more information about the campaign or to make a donation, please contact Rachael Thompson at 540.863.2837 or rthompson@dslcc.edu. For more information about the CDL program, please contact Doug Jones at 540.863.2870 or djones@dslcc.edu.
