Mountain Gateway Community College to host free community healthcare event
Clifton Forge, VA – Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is excited to announce a free Community Health Fair, open to all members of the community. This event will take place on October 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the MGCC Armory, located at 1000 College Drive, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
The Alleghany County/Covington Department of Health will be on-site with 150 free doses of the flu vaccine for anyone aged 6 months and up. They will also have limited 2024-2025 COVID vaccines available as well as limited high-dose flu vaccines for those aged 65 and up. Proof of insurance is required for COVID vaccines and high-dose flu vaccines. Additionally, there will be chair yoga, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, information sessions from participating agencies, and more.
