The Virginia Community College System and Chancellor Glenn DuBois have presented Carol O. and Morris Thomas Hudson of St. Augustine, FL, with the 15th Annual Chancellor’s Award for Leadership in Philanthropy. They were nominated for the award by the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation Board.

Pandemic Doesn't Stop Governor's School Research Projects

Every April for the past several years, the Jackson River Governor’s School has hosted an exhibition - fondly known as the JRGS Science Fair - for students in Barbara Kolb’s research course, NAS-198-199, “Intro to Scientific Research,” to show off their projects. Typically, the JRGS Science Fair is held in the Moomaw Center on the Dabney S.

DSLCC Scholarship Recipient Pursing 4-Year Degree Through Online Courses

DSLCC Cubby Closet Donation

Due to the main campus and Rockbridge Regional Centers being closed during the pandemic, Dabney S. Lancaster Community College recently donated the majority of the contents of the DSLCC Roadrunner Cubby Closet (the College's food pantry) and the contents of the snack machines on the Clifton Forge campus and the RRC to local area food pantries.

DSLCC Governor's School Offering Cybersecurity This Summer

The annual Summer Regional Governor’s School is switching gears this year and is offering an online three-week session on Cybersecurity, from June 15 through July 3, through Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. The deadline to apply is May 11.

DSLCC Local Board Welcomes Nominations for Medallion of Merit

The Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Local Board has reinstituted the annual Medallion of Merit Award and is currently accepting nominations.  The College stopped bestowing the award in 2012, but resumed the award last year and recognized Eddie Graham of Clifton Forge as the 2019 recipient.

New Head of DSLCC Business Program Announced

State Board for Community Colleges to Consider 2020-2021 Fees at May Meeting

In accordance with Section 23.1-307 (D) of the Code of Virginia, the State Board for Community Colleges provides notice that it will consider tuition and mandatory fee increases for Virginia’s Community Colleges, effective fall 2020, at 9 a.m. on May 21, 2020, via a virtual meeting. The address for that meeting will be posted on the Commonwealth Calendar no later than 5pm on May 13, 2020.
