Theta Kappa Honor Society members. Ten of 26 members were inducted into the Alpha Eta
Omicron Chapter of PTK on Tuesday, March 19.

Mountain Gateway Community College students win poetry and visual arts contests; poet earns spot to compete for statewide title

Mountain Gateway Community College is pleased to announce our participation in the Virginia
Veteran Laptop Project (VVLP), a collaboration between Virginia Community College Systems
and the Virginia Department of Veterans Services. The initiative aims to assist our respected
veterans and spouses of military personnel in their academic endeavors.

Tamra Lipscomb was named the Mountain Gateway Community College Educator of the Year
during the 45th Annual Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism annual dinner
on March 9, 2024.
