DSLCC student to attend NASA program
Tags:Samantha Graves of Lexington, an Information Technology student at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, has been chosen to participate in a NASA program, “Launching 2 Learnâ€, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for four weeks in July. The Launching 2 Learn (L2L) project is a hands-on experience that teaches the science and math behind high power rockets (HPR).

DSLCC Named “Military Friendly School”
Tags:Dabney S. Lancaster Community College has been included on the list of Military Friendly®Schools for 2015 by Victory Media’s G.I. Jobs Magazine, an honor placing DSLCC in the top 16% of all school nationwide. Dr. John Rainone, President of the College, noted that this was the sixth consecutive year that DSLCC was named to the list.
DSLCC Expands Program Options for Veterans
Tags:Dabney S. Lancaster Community College has received approval for two more programs of study for eligible veterans seeking to use their educational benefits at the College. The Sustainable Agriculture and Instrumentation Technology Career Studies Certificates have received approval for veterans through programs that include, but are not limited to, the Post 911 G.I. Bill, Montgomery G.I.
48th Annual Commencement Exercises Held at DSLCC
Tags:A total of 157 graduates received almost 200 associate degrees, certificates and career studies certificates during the 48th annual Commencement Exercises May 15 at Dabney S Lancaster Community College. The ceremony was held in the Convocation center on the Clifton Forge campus with DSLCC President Dr. John Rainone handing out the diplomas. This was the second commencement ceremony for Dr.

Since my last communication, I am pleased that many initiatives are moving forward that serve DSLCC students and community. Our new website development is on target for an April 1 launch and our new Strategic Plan is progressing very well.
